Times Square & Broadway : all 50 billboards + 4 flags + 1 Spidey in total, Statue of Liberty with flaring fireworks signifying great celebration, iconic skyline, starry night, a crimson midnight moon and a brightly litted Broklyn Bridge is what you will see and be surrounded with the moment you walk into the main hall!
Much as you think this is the work of a decor team which comprises only 6 core team members, you are then seriously wrong! Yes we did start off with 6 core team members and they have consistently stayed throughout for a total of 23 days/week nights/weekends within 8 weeks span. This is an average of 3 days per week. However the number start trickling in over the days and unbelievably by the end of 23rd day..they were a total of 83 onsites volunteers whom have help! and there is another 7 offsite (not captured on camera! hence the actual total of ppl had help to make this decor a success is 90! Infact there were more who offer to help but we have to turn them down as the bottleneck still lies with the core think tank team. The core team can't think nor plan fast enough to have proper leverage on man resources whom avails themself.
Our infamous queenie (Aunty Sue) quotes "The volunteers all came because they wanted to serve and this gave them a platform to serve and be a part of the magic of VBS. I'm sure every helper feels proud that they have played a part, big or small, in this project. We discovered many hidden talents along the way, we learn patience and tolerance, we learn teamwork and hopefully got to practice love and grace."
By God's grace , how truly blessed we are indeed as PBCians and we all thankful to our Lord! Amen?
...and so!...do take a cuppa coffee, sit back, relax and enjoyyyy a series of 23 days WIP photos posted here...starting now with...
